How does Hypnosis work?

By guiding someone to a relaxed, open and receptive state of mind. Negative or ineffective thought patterns may be re-evaluated and positive, effective thought patterns can then be established and reinforced. The state of Hypnosis is similar to a meditative state that can be learned and used to each clients advantage.

What do you do?

I help people establish a method of achieving the calm, relaxed, trance-like state state required to allow information and positive ideas to be accepted deep into their sub-conscious mind. It is a pleasant, safe, non-invasive process that the client is taught how to control. I provide an instructional CD for multi-session clients to further their development in their own time at no further expense. I tailor each of my sessions directly to the needs of my clients. No two treatment plans are the same.

How long does it take? How many sessions do I need?

Obviously everyone differs, just like in school, not everyone learns at the same pace, not everyone remembers all the same details about a given subject. Some people are simply faster than others. Openess and willingness to benefit from the experience are large factors. I typically suggest a 5 session plan that includes a lengthy intake period for the first session, followed by 4 hypnosis sessions working on various aspects surrounding and honing in on their chosen focus. For some sports and performance related sessions I find 3 sessions to be sufficient, for help with a phobia, 2 is often enough, for recalling a lost memory, 1 session should suffice.
